Zora was rendered utterly speechless by this. She waved her hand dismissively in Jay's direction and said, "Fine. You're the biggest shareholder, so whatever you say goes."
She turned to the customers and said, smiling, "Madams, please, let us continue this discussion in the lounge, shall we?"
The customers all nodded and followed her to the guest lounge.
Winona was delighted at how this turned out. From the way Jay had defended her, she could tell that Jay was supportive of her. "Jay, I'm sorry. I didn't know something like this would happen. I promise I'll do a better job in the future," she said, feigning remorse.
Jay glanced at her. "You don't know much about jewelry, so it's best you stay out of this in the future. Just let Zora handle everything."
With that, he and Roger strode away.
