Adrienne was still a tiny bit hopeful before meeting Sheridan.  Perhaps she was hoping that someone else had been mistaken for him, or that the real villain just looked very much alike to Sheridan. As long as they didn't meet, anything was possible. Once Adrienne met Sheridan, everything that Jefferson had just told her right then would become a reality, then...
