In this modern age, news traveled quickly. Before news could even be officially reported, it would already be spread all over the world through the internet.  Newspapers were becoming obsolete. It used to be an important means of communication decades ago, and anyone who could afford it was considered wealthy. Adrienne didn't pay much attention to the news in the papers. She had already seen the news on her phone, so to her, newspapers were just old news. But since Hodge was an old man, he didn't really know how to use his smartphone.
