After nightfall, Karen Daly went to bed early again. She had been sleeping the whole afternoon. She would still be sleeping if not for Mia who woke her up for dinner. She still felt lethargic after dinner, so she went back to her room to sleep. She didn't know how long she had been sleeping before she was awakened by the sound of the opening door. She could hear Kevin Kyle tiptoeing into the room silently. She was really deep in slumber but also wanted to talk to him. But she couldn't muster the strength to sit up and do that. She felt that he was just beside her, staring at her with a longing gaze. He stared at her for a long time before turning around to go to the bathroom.
