"Really? Then I must take a look later," Anna said.
Esther nodded. "Sure."
Sunshine and Felix were well-behaved during the meal, so Esther didn't need to take special care of them. Though she wasn't very hungry at first, she ended up eating a lot when she saw how enthusiastic the two kids were about their food.
After lunch, Sunshine and Felix considerately left Anna and Esther alone to discuss work. They took their picture books and sat on the nearby sofa, quietly reading.
"Anna, did you ask Sunshine and Felix not to let me see my phone?" Esther asked.
Anna nodded gently and said, "Mr. Searle's very concerned about you. He called me to ask me to pay attention to your emotional state."
Esther's smile bloomed, looking pure yet alluring.
"Anna, I'm not as fragile as you think. When I decided to divorce Bradley, I knew what I'd face." Esther held Anna's hand tightly as if drawing energy from her. "Without experiencing the storms, how can we see the splendid rainbow?"
