Chapter 159
Bradley drove back to Primus Mansion and found Esther still sitting in the cold bathtub, looking pathetic and shivering. Without hesitation, he strode into the bathroom and lifted her out. Silently, he carried her back to the master bedroom.
As Esther gazed at Bradley's handsome face, her own face pale and blue, she asked resentfully, "Are you going to marry Liliane?"
Pausing in his tracks, Bradley met Esther's tear-streaked eyes and softly questioned, "Who told you that?"
"Just answer me, yes or no," Esther pleaded, her tears flowing more intensely.
Realizing that Esther, as a patient, couldn't handle additional stress, Bradley fought to control his emotions. He couldn't comprehend why he always lost control when he was around her. As an adult, he shouldn't be arguing with a patient, especially one who had saved him in childhood, given birth to his daughters, and was legally his wife.
