"Come on, let's not do this. We both know that we have had our differences in the past. Don't you think it's tiring to continue like this?" I said coolly, "We both know why I was hospitalized, and this matter is far from over."
Upon hearing my words, Vicky burst out laughing as if she had heard the funniest joke ever.
"After everything we've been through, I thought you had finally learned something. But now it seems like you're still as foolish as ever," Vicky laughed uncontrollably.
"Now that rogue has been dealt with by Calvin, so what if you have him protecting you? I can still come after you easily," Vicky boasted, "Even though I hired the person, there is no physical evidence left and the witness is dead. How can you hold me responsible?"
Instead of getting angry, I smiled happily at her words. Vicky looked at me with surprise. "What are you laughing at?" she asked, her expression stiff.
"I wasn't laughing at anything," I said, elegantly tucking my hair behind my ear
