Willow still had things to settle. The police officer was still waiting for her eyewitness.
What’s more, she needed to call and tell her mother that her children had somehow snuck into the company. She had to know if her mother had been here as well. If her mother hadn’t, then she would have to go look for the children.
It was dangerous for preschoolers to be running around outside without supervision.
“What’s the matter? Did you forget that this is your job? Are you trying to slack off again?” snapped Edith impatiently.
“Alright,” Willow said meekly.
After that, Edith left the office and ran after Jasper.
