Playing with His Daughter
Savannah put down her bowl and chopsticks and walked out.
"Where are we going?" Walden roared at her.
Savannah covered her chest and said, "Dad, I'm not going anywhere. Can't I even make a call?"
"Humph!" Walden snorted coldly. This time, he did not stop her.
When Savannah walked to the window and lifted the curtain, she saw that Callan was still standing at the entrance of the courtyard. He had a cigarette between his fingers and took a drag now and then. She knew that Callan only smoked when he was really upset.
Savannah took out her phone and dialed his number.
"Vannah!" As soon as the phone was connected, Callan picked it up, and Savannah did not even hear the beep on the other end of the line.
With the phone in one hand and the cigarette in the other, Callan paced back and forth anxiously. "What's the matter? Why don't you open the door for me? Is there any problem with your parents?"
