The Battle Ten Years Ago
There was a saying, "The more one gets, the more one wants." Savannah Lea deeply believed that this sentence suited Walden George .
Because of her grandma's persuasion, Savannah had to promise to unblock Walden's number from her contacts; this caused Walden to want more from her. He acted like he would have trouble eating or sleeping if he hadn't called Savannah for a day.
Just as they got off work, Walden's phone call came again.
"Hello..." Savannah answered the phone feebly. She thought it was a shame for her to waste time on this person. "What the heck do you want? I've eaten, I don't need you to give me money, I'm living well, and I'm not sick. Is that okay? Can I hang up?" She replied with a robotic tone.
Walden would ask the same questions every time he called, and Savannah simply told him the answers he wanted to hear and was about to hang up the phone.
"Don't, don't. Savannah, can you spare some time this weekend?" Walden stopped his daughter in a hurry and asked timidly.
