Just One Glance

It was too late. Although Sean was full of doubts, he did not call Daisy. Instead, he sent a message. The content was very simple... "Are you home yet? Are you tired?" Daisy texted him back quickly... "Yes, I'm lying in bed now. I'm tired... I'm going to sleep." Although it was just a line of words, Sean could imagine she must slightly pout and look tired when she typed the message. Sean's heart softened. He texted, "Have a good rest." Daisy put down her phone and looked out of the window. A long time later, she sighed. "Alas..." After all, Sean was worried. Or maybe he thought yesterday was a good start. He should make hay while the sun shines. The next morning, he went to the Presidential Palace. When he entered the inner courtyard, he met Danica. Danica looked at him, not angry. "You're here." "Mom." Sean stood there with his hands on both sides, trying to please Danica. Hearing that, Danica looked a little happier. Pointing upstairs, she said, "She's washing up. She'll be downstair
