CHAPTER 29

　　DRAKE’S POV 　　Having to help Betty around the house has been one of my favourite things to do since I started staying with them. We always had spare time together to talk and laugh. Even though Ace was obviously not comfortable with everything, Betty still talked to me. She didn’t look jealous about Cynthia and me, though. Cynthia has been putting up different acting to make her believe our relationship. It was believable, and she did believe it, but she wasn’t jealous. I had expected her to flare up and act jealous and angry, but she was, in fact, happy for me. 　　She said she had always wanted me to find someone that would make me happy, and it looks like Cynthia was doing the job. Ace still didn’t believe in the whole charade, and he showed how disgruntled he was about my staying. He avoided me, which gave me more time with Betty.
