Chapter 19 Down the mountain

I went out of office and went down towards my floor. As i reach there Anyee was already waiting for me. "what happened ? Jessica said Mr Reid took you to Mr Gold. What did he say ?" she asked as i reached there. "Of course he had fired her" Jessica said from the back. "Did he really fire you? Have you lost your job? " Anyee asjed again. "No, he asked me to collect debt from this man before the office hour ends. " i give her the file. She took the file and looked inside it. "It is so far away from here. How can you go there and came back today. " She said "It is almost impossible. And you don't have any vechile " " Hahaha.... He don't wanted you to stay. That is why he gave you this job. Either way your job is gone. " Olivia laughed at me. I looked at her. She was right. But i have to try at least. "you can take my car " Anyee said. " Try to come as fast as you can. " "what is the point of going in a car, while you have to climb the top of mountains. Road will end at half. " Jessica said from behind. "I don't know how to drive. " i said. " Should I go with you ?" She asked "No, I'll manage. I'll go now or I'll be late" I said as i went out of office. I know she wanted to help me. But I can't put her job in danger too. I went to the bus stop. I looked at the file and get the address. The adress was village out of the city, in the top of mountains. I got a bus to go base of the mountain and i got in.The bus moved in a while and it was taking me out of the city. When i got off the bus, it was already twelve. It took more than 1 hour to reach here. Now i have to climb to the top of the mountain. I moved as fast as i can. But i have never been to the hills. I was so tired in a while. I can't even breathe properly and speed went slow. I was so slow and it took one hour and half when i reached the village. Now i have to find George from the village and collect the money. I found a villager and asked the adress. He showed me the way to George's house. And i went there. When i reached George's house, it was locked. Now i was pissed off. I walked this far just for this. Shit what do i do now? I walked around in case i found George. But i don't know what did he looked like. I walked around aimlessly. Then i saw a granny working in a field. I quickly went near her. "Hello Grandma , do you know George? " i asked her. "what? " she said putting her one hand around her ear. Maybe she didn't listened properly. "George? Do you know him? " i said raising my voice. "George ? Why are you looking for him? " She asked. I told her everything. Then she looked at me strangely and took out her phone. "Hello George, someone came here from Golden Company " "....." "She is here to take the money. " "...." "Okay came fast. " "He'll came in a while. You can wait at home . " the granny said. "Thank you grandma " Then i went back to George's home. The Granny also came with me. I was about to ask why did she came with me. But she opened the door of the house. She opened the door and take out a tool for me. "you are....? " i asked her taking the tool from her hand. "George is my grandson. " "..." " He is working in the field . He'll came soon" She said. "okay" We talked with eaxh other it was already two pm. I only have 3 hours left. But George didn't came till now. When he came it was already two thirty. I was getting more anxious. John was in the boot and gloves. It was clear he came in the middle of his work, there were muds all over his boots and gloves. I talked to him about the money and he smiled. He put off his gloves and boot and gloves. After a while he came with a box. "We don't have money. This is what we have. It has as much value as the debt. Please take these" he said sincerely. I took the box and opened it. Inside was a necklace and two ear rings. I looked at them. "I kept this jewellery for George's marriage. But his parents got in an accident and we didn't have money. So we have to take loan. But unfortunately we can't save them. " The granny started crying and i was also feeling sad. But i have no choice. "I'm sorry. But I have no choice " i said. "Ma'am you can go. My granny is a little emotional. " George said taking his granny in his arms. I nodded and left. While coming down i was thinking about them. Village people are so simple and pure heart. How simply can she trust an stranger and pour her heart out. I looked at the time. It was 2:45. I only have two hours and fifteen minutes left. I sped up down the hill. While moving i accidentally step on a wrong rock. It moved a little and i lost my balance. And i fell on the ground so badly. My whole body hurts. But I can't stop here, I thought and tried to get up but my foot was aching so much that i can't even got myself up.
