In the afternoon, Matthew arranged for someone to move Serena to his own place. "I asked Nathan to arrange for someone to help you move to my place. It's not convenient for you to stay here." Upon hearing these words, Serena secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Matthew really knew his grandfather, and these days she had indeed been feeling uncomfortable. Though Richard was kind, he looked at her with far too much eagerness, glancing at her belly now and then, as if that was the way to get a great-grandchild. Not knowing how to cope if she continued to stay, Serena looked at Matthew with grateful eyes and said, "Thank you." Thinking that this move would provide a peaceful environment for recovery, she was caught off guard when trouble emerged again at the company. Ella directly sent out an email within the department, announcing Serena's dismissal, with the entire department copied. Most importantly, the lengthy email contained numerous personal attacks and emotional outbursts from Ella.
