With the joint efforts of the doctors, Melvin's vital signs finally became stable, although he was still not out of danger.

Lainey and Noel didn't get any useful clues from Vernon at the hospital, so they decided to seek help from the embassy and inquire about the progress of the case at the police station.
"Lainey, don't worry. Winfred is lucky. He will be safe."
While waiting for the elevator, Noel comforted Lainey, as she seemed to be lost in thought.
Lainey forced a smile and said, "I hope so."
Of course, she desperately hoped that Winfred would be safe and sound, but at this point, she really had no confidence at all.
The elevator door opened, and a woman wearing large sunglasses and a long windbreaker walked out from inside.
The woman lowered her head and walked very fast, passing by Lainey and Noel in the blink of an eye.
"Let's go," Noel said so
