Chapter 17: I Am His Wife

　　After school, Elvira insisted on inviting Lainey for dinner. Lainey couldn’t help but agree. 　　They met Jayda when they were almost at the school gate. 　 Because Lainey had revealed Jayda’s identity as her father’s illegitimate daughter in public, the previous wonderful considerate image Jayda had created had been torn to shreds. Therefore, Jayda glared at Lainey viciously at the sight of her. 　　“Tsk, how can this kind of person still have the nerve to show up in school? Yet as a college student, she didn’t scream out in public as she had to maintain a minimum of literacy. However, Lainey told her that this scary-looking man was actually her husband! Elvira couldn’t accept the fact, nor could she figure out why Lainey, such a young lady, would agree to marry such a bad-looking man. “Yes!” Lainey didn’t feel improper at all. She asked Winfred with a smile, “Where are you going to take me to for dinner?” 　　After taking a glance at Elvira, Winfred soon fixed his eyes on Lainey again and smiled. 　　“Get in the car first.” 　　The driver was Vernon. Because Lainey brought her classmate, so she and Elvira sat in the back seat, while Winfred sat in the passenger seat consciously. 　　Winfred took Lainey and Elvira to the Atlantis Hotel and ordered a table of delicious dishes. Having been hungry, Lainey ate happily. Comparing with Lainey, Elvira looked much more restrained. Looking at Winfred’s face, Elvira couldn’t eat, always worrying that he would suddenly turn hostile and hit someone. Lainey ate well. When she raised her head, she happened to see Elvira do not even move her fork. She elbowed Elvira and urged, “Elvira, why don’t you eat?” 　　“Well... Okay...
