After hearing what Clotho said, Steve felt puzzled. He wasn’t sure what Clotho meant when she said something seemed off with Amia.
"Mr. Steve, since the moment Julie had her accident, I noticed that Amia wasn’t acting quite right," Clotho explained.
Actually, Steve had sensed it too. After all, Amia had only known Julie for a few days. Yet, when Julie got into trouble, it was Amia who seemed the most anxious and frightened, even more so than Julie’s husband, Arlia.
Clotho continued, "So I strongly suspect that Julie’s situation triggered something within Amia, bringing up hidden memories that are causing her to react this way."
As Clotho finished speaking, Amia, who had been unconscious, suddenly became agitated. She began to flail her hands wildly, her face contorted as if she were trapped in a nightmare.
Steve quickly rushed over, holding Amia by the shoulders and gripping her hands tightly.
"Amia, don’t be afraid. I’m here. It’s me, Steve," he reassured her.
