374 THE SEARCH FOR AIDEN
Caden paced back and forth in Ethan's living room, his mind filled with worry for his missing brother. It's been days, and they've heard nothing from him. He knew he had to act fast, so he reached for his phone and began calling their friends in town who attended the party with them.
Caden's frustration was evident on every ring as the first call went unanswered. Finally, on the third call, a familiar voice picked up.
"Hey, Caden! What's up?" The friend was greeted warmly.
"Hey, it's me," Caden said, his voice urgent. "Have you seen Aiden around lately?"I've been trying to get in touch with him, but he's not reachable on his phone."
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and the friend's tone turned serious. "Actually, I haven't seen Aiden since the party or heard from him. "Is everything okay?"
Caden's heart sank at the response that confirmed his fears. "No, everything's not okay. I need to find him. "Do you have any idea where he might be?"
