A throbbing ache pulsed in his forehead, a dull echo of the blow that had sent him crashing into oblivion. Hours, it seemed, had bled into one another before he'd blinked awake, the world a blurry mess until it resolved into the stark image of Victo, bound beside him. Then Antonio.
He'd frozen, his voice stolen, as the warehouse door creaked open and Antonio, his face an unreadable mask, stepped into the dim light.
