The few hours reprising Isabella's joy from watching her best friend accomplish one of her dreams had rapidly dissipated, and now she was back to worrying again. She loved that she could now work as a virtual assistant from home. It gave her enough time to multitask without the added pressure of being in an office space. Isabella had believed she and her investigator were already getting closer to unmasking the culprits because of a few uncoverings of their victims.
She had also thought the visit to Emily was the last piece of the puzzle needed—the last nail in the coffin—but it was not until Emily called her to tell her she didn't want to be a part of the whole thing anymore.
