Isabella stepped out of the mom's club at last. As she stood outside, she took in one breath. The air outside seemed so much different from the one she had been breathing in the building.
The sound of mothers conversing and children crying could still be heard faintly in the background. The unease came back, and she looked over her shoulder to catch a glimpse of the person she suspected was watching her.
She could only see the person docking behind a tall plant that stood at the entrance of the building. "Call Luke!" Her mind screamed at her.
She fiddled with her pitch-black handbag as she picked out her phone. Her finger worked at the screen, tapping and swiping until she could find her husband's number.
"Thank goodness."
She tapped the dial and waited uneasily as the phone rang.
Her head swiveled with every motion as she anticipated the voice on the other side of her phone.
