Gabriel made sure Elodie carried a small handgun and knew how to use it. ‘I don’t like the idea of you going alone. What if Jay already called him and told him everything?’
She shook her head. ‘Unlikely. I tried Ari’s phone. If I couldn’t reach him before now, then neither could Jay.’
