Elodie gripped her phone.
Another call to Ari, another ignored ring.
Panic gnawed at her insides.
It was like a punch to the gut, those photos on Dashiell’s phone.
Just when frustration threatened to engulf her, a hand landed on her shoulder.
Spinning around, she came face to face with Dashiell, his face grim. ‘He isn’t picking up, is he?’ he stated, his voice devoid of its usual cheer.
