At dinner that day, Maverick exhibited an extraordinary level of thoughtfulness. Maverick was at Giselle's beck and call, doing whatever she desired. Maverick obeyed Giselle when she told him not to drink. The onlookers were amazed, wondering if Maverick was truly smitten with Giselle. But wasn't he supposed to be engaged to Gloria?
