Chapter 80 Silent Embrace
Yvonne slipped her hands into the pockets of her loose jacket, her gaze cold and frosty, eager to leave this suffocating place. Just as she turned to go, a strong hand grabbed her arm and she was abruptly pulled into a warm and solid embrace.
"Tomorrow is the divorce, right, my wife?" Benson's voice was low and slightly teasing in her ear.
His lips curved into a provocative smile, a subtle challenge in his eyes.
Yvonne pressed her lips together, her face painted with anger and resentment, coldly staring at Benson.
Ignoring his taunts, a flicker of doubt crossed her mind. But Benson gave her no time to react; he suddenly hoisted her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.
This rough behavior fueled Yvonne's anger even more. She began to pound his back and tried to grab his ears, but he seemed unfazed, effortlessly carrying her into the elevator.
Mary, watching from the side, was stunned, clearly shocked by the sudden turn of events.
