The next day, a phone call from Jeremy interrupted her solitude. "Yvonne, are you free tonight? How about dinner?" Jeremy’s voice, as always, sounded steady over the phone. Yvonne didn’t hesitate and softly agreed, "Sure, I’ll be there on time." That evening, she arrived punctually. The restaurant had soft lighting, and Jeremy was already waiting for her in a private room. When he saw her walk in, he paused slightly. Yvonne hadn't gained much weight, but her face had a healthy glow, and she exuded an inner calm and strength. “Not bad,” Jeremy smiled gently, a look of concern and relief in his eyes. Yvonne smiled back, sitting across from him,
