Chapter 26 Ubiquitous
Benson's fingers lightly tapped, a barely noticeable smile on his lips, as if savoring a hidden thought.
His voice was deep and magnetic: "I see, I understand." This statement seemed to respond to George’s observations and sounded like he was talking to himself.
George felt a sudden tension. He glanced at Benson through the rearview mirror, trying to glean more information.
His heart was filled with doubt, unsure if Benson was expressing disdain or a subtle hint of jealousy.
