After orientation day, Callie saw Rebecca and her family out before returning to the college campus.
At the entrance, she met the eyes of a familiar man.
Although she had given up on Spencer, she still felt like a guilty child caught red-handed whenever they crossed paths.
It felt exactly the same as the time she stole her mom's necklace for her classmate. Was Spencer that authoritative?
Since they had noticed each other, she had no choice but to approach him and say hi.
"Uncle Spencer, what brings you here?"
It painted him to see her darting eyes. He suppressed his emotions and gathered himself. "I'm here for orientation day."
She nodded and said nothing more. They walked into the campus in silence.
Spencer, feeling uneasy in the silence, started a conversation. "Why are you studying sculpting? I thought you loved painting. Why didn't you study that instead?"
