The first sign of trouble came in the form of an unexpected phone call from Greg. "Jason, it's getting worse," Greg's voice trembled on the other end of the line. "They’ve tightened security. New protocols, constant surveillance. I’m worried they might discover everything." Jason and I exchanged a look, our unease growing. We were in the middle of a delicate operation, and any wrong move could jeopardize everything we had worked for. "Stay calm, Greg. We'll figure this out," Jason said, trying to reassure him. "Just stick to the plan for now. We’ll meet tonight to discuss our next steps." As he hung up, Jason turned to me, his face etched with concern. "This is bad, Lily. If they’re ramping up security, it means they suspect something. We need to be extra careful." I nodded, feeling the weight of the situation. "We need to make sure Greg is safe. And we need to get those last pieces of evidence before they shut us out completely." That evening, we gathered at Nelson and Samantha’
