Chapter 152: Unexpected Visit
The soft hum of morning activity filled our home as I sipped my coffee, watching Grace play with her blocks on the living room floor. The sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over everything. It was one of those rare, peaceful moments that I cherished amidst the usual hustle and bustle.
Just as I was about to take another sip, the doorbell rang, startling me out of my reverie. I wasn’t expecting anyone. I set my coffee down and walked to the door, Grace toddling behind me with curious eyes.
