Chapter 140: Balancing Acts
The sound of Grace’s laughter filled our home, a sweet melody that was both a balm and a challenge. Motherhood had turned my world upside down in the most beautiful and chaotic ways. Balancing the demands of the gallery with being a new mother was proving to be a complex dance. Each day brought a mix of joy and exhaustion, and as much as I loved my gallery, my heart was firmly with Grace.
One morning, after a particularly sleepless night, I stood in the kitchen cradling a cup of coffee while Jason fed Grace her breakfast.
“She’s developing quite the personality,” Jason remarked, smiling as Grace gurgled and splashed her hands in her food.
I chuckled, though fatigue tugged at my eyelids. “She certainly is. I just wish I could keep up with her and manage the gallery.”
Jason looked up, concern in his eyes. “You’ve been doing an incredible job, Lily. Maybe we should consider hiring more help at the gallery?”
