author pov Doctor Opie came walking in with Doc and Katia jumped from the bed, running to her pack doctor. The two were obviously close by the way they hugged each other. Doc held her away from him some and looked her over, “You are alive and look healthier than I have ever seen you. I think you have even put a little more weight on. You are still too thin, but it is okay. We have forever to fatten you up.” Katia smiled and kissed him on the cheek before turning back to the bed and me. She was pulling the doctor from her pack with her. She stopped in front of me and stared for a minute. I could tell she and her Doc were speaking with one another and blocked me from the conversation. Doc then looked at me, “Well my boy, Katia tells me you are her second chance mate. She also says that you do not act like the other Alphas she has known. She says so far you have not punished her for her mistakes. That you are patient and explain things to her. She also says that you are nice to look at.”
