Chapter 11
Harold furrowed his brows deeply, as if he was thinking about something. After a while, he said to Jillian, "Go and try another one."
Jillian's heart trembled. Her fingers tightened suddenly, but she slowly let go. Her eyes concealed the slight wetness in her eyes.
"Brother Harold, they took my toys."
"It's okay. I am here and I will take you to buy a new one. I can find what you want."
The words of the past are still reverberating in his ears, but they are already dull.
Looking up at the person on the other side, his face is still smiling like a flower. She wouldn't show the slightest embarrassment in front of them. With a cold smile, Jillian said lightly, "I don't plan to ask for a man anymore. It's just a piece of clothing. Why don't I give it to you." She said, turning around and entering the fitting room.
Seeing her go in, Harold suddenly let go of Rachel's hand. Hs eyes became deep, and he turned to the hanger behind.
Looking at Jillian's back, Rachel gradually took away the gentleness on her face. She had said that she would take back what Jillian snatched from her palm.
Not far away, Ram sneered, but Maximo never looked up, as if he didn't know what was going on here.
"Maximo, how about this one?" Ram was in a good mood right now. First, Maximo agreed to accompany her to buy clothes, and now she saw that Jillian was embarrassed by her sister. How could she be unhappy?
Maximo reached out and took out a lavender dress. The cheongsam was remodeled and embroidered by hand. Ram looked at the cheongsam. Although she had been in the military camp for many years, she couldn't help but be attracted by the cheongsam, "It's so beautiful." She couldn't help but speak and reached out to get it, but Maximo hid it.
Maximo turned around and handed the clothes to the waiter, and said in a deep voice, "Wrap it up."
Ram's hand stopped in the air, and she took it back in embarrassment, but Maximo's female companion was only her. She thought that he probably wanted to go out and give it to her.
Maximo turned around and intertwined with Jillian's gaze coming out of the fitting room. Jillian paused slightly, and her gaze fell on Ram who was next to her. She couldn't help but want to sneer. It's better to avoid the men of these two siblings if she can.
Jillian used to put the clothes in Harold's hands, with a cold smile on the corner of her mouth, she turned and left.
"Jill..." Harold turned his head, but was held by Rachel, looking down at the clothes in his hand, as well as her last smile, something slowly was pulled away in his heart.
"Harold, accompany me to choose clothes. I think she likes this dress. You can bring it back to her later." Rachel said clearly and righteously.
Harold looked down at Rachel, moved by her clarity, reached out and patted the back of her hand, "Wait for me, I'll be back in a while." He said, walking a few steps to catch up with Jillian. He handed a white dress that had just been wrapped by the waiter into her hand, "Wear it at night, and don't let people embarrass you again." In previous years, she was often ridiculed by others because of what she wore.
Jillian looked down at the dress and couldn't tell what she felt in her heart at the moment. That feeling was like immersing her heart in a low concentration of sulfuric acid, slowly eroding her heart.
She stretched out her hand to take the dress and looked up at him, "Don't worry, I won't ruin your family image." As she said, she turned and left here indifferently.
"I really don't know why this kind of woman is attractive to the old man. She is uneducated at all." Ram looked at Jillian's back, full of contempt.
Maximo's face became even colder. He gave Ram a faint look, and said neither lightly nor severely, "Your sister is here, I have something to do. You don't need to follow me." He didn't think it before, but now he feels tired of looking at this woman Ram.
"Maximo." Ram watched him leave, tearing the clothes in her hand angrily. Did he leave because of that woman?
"Sister, what's wrong with Max?", Rachel walked to his sister and asked.
Ram looked at Maximo's back with fierce eyes, "You just have to catch Harold. I will leave that woman with nothing."
Harold also saw Maximo, but when he wanted to go out, Rachel pulled him to look at her clothes.
After Jillian left the mall, her pace was suddenly slow. Although she kept admonishing herself not to care, her heart still couldn't bear it.
Before she took a few steps, her hand was suddenly held, and she fell into a hard embrace before she recovered. Amidst her tears, she saw the face that had disappeared for a week.
"Maximo" suddenly flashed the face of the woman standing next to him, and Jillian tried to shake off his hand hard, "You let go." She doesn't know if this hand has ever been held by someone and bitten by someone.
"No.", Maximo said suddenly.
Jillian raised her head to look at him, frowning slightly. Her gentle eyes are confused, so she asked, "What's not?"
"I have never touched her hand, nor have I touched any woman's hand." It is the first time that Maximo explained this problem to a woman, so his face was gloomy. But even so, he doesn't want to women to misunderstand and feel sad.
Jillian blinked. He’s such a proud and cold person. How come he is explaining to her now?
However, this feeling is still very useful and a smile can't help but appeared in her eyes, but she deliberately snorted, "Just leave me alone."
