Chapter 41: Please, Help Willard
I wanted to jump up and ask him to heal Willard, but my hand was held down by wolf claws. Willard tried his best to raise his head and said in an extremely weak voice, "Mia, don't. I would rather die than ask help from such a despicable person."
I really wondered if he was still the Willard I used to know. He had always been gentle and modest. I couldn't figure out his hostility to Kasim. The pads of the wolf claws were so cold, which made my heart skip a beat again. This was not a good sign. I held his head with my hands and kept stroking his fur. "No, no, Willard. Can you just believe him?" I looked back at Kasim. "Kasim, can you help him?"
Kasim frowned out of the blue and looked at the huge wolf in my arms. He suddenly pouted. "But Mia, you have to promise me that you'll stay by my side from now on. I'm the one who cares about you more than anyone else."
