Chapter 34: Who is Better?
Bang! It was the sound of a fist smashing into flesh.
Simon finally threw his fist at Kasim, hitting Kasim's injured arm.
The wound tore again. Blood seeped through Kasim's white shirt and exploded in a hideous, glaring red line.
"Kasim!" I hurried over to check on Kasim's injuries. I pulled down his sleeve, revealing the wound on his arm. It looked like a horrible fire snake that would burn Kasim.
"Mia, it hurts." Kasim put his hand over mine and rubbed it restlessly, seeming to seek reassurance.
"Mia, don't believe him," Simon said coldly.
What was wrong with Simon? Not only did he not apologize to Kasim, but he also doubted Kasim. Was his previous gentlemanly style fake?
"Enough," I interrupted Simon. "All I see now is you hurting someone and not apologizing! Simon, I'm so disappointed in you!"
"Mia..." Simon reached out to grab my sleeve, but I didn't want to give him that chance. I pulled my hand back to avoid it.
"Simon, I don't want to see you. Leave. I have to heal Kasim now."
