Chapter 6 Stop Fussing
I would never forget how Louis had headed straight for Amanda after she and I had fallen into the pool together. Even though I'd lost my memories and no longer loved him, my heart had still ached at the sight.
It had throbbed with the pain, and I'd felt worse than when I'd drowned. I supposed that was 25-year-old me's final struggle.
I was glad I'd lost my memories. Otherwise, with how deeply in love 25-year-old me had been with Louis, I would've probably died from the pain.
Louis had nothing to say in retort. He parted his lips as if wanting to speak, but the words didn't come. I didn't know how to swim, yet he'd saved Amanda instead of me. That was a fact. If it hadn't been for Connor, I wouldn't have been lying in bed unscathed.
