Chapter 36
Serena's POV.
Watching Richard walk away shattered my heart into a million pieces. I felt helpless, unable to do anything to stop him.
I hastily threw on my clothes, using my hoodie to cover myself, and rushed out of the room.
As I reached the entrance, I overheard a conversation that made my blood run cold.
"Ross isn't going to war with them," someone said.
I gasped, my mind racing with the implications. Ross was a skilled warrior, and his absence from the battlefield would be a devastating blow to Richard's chances.
My heart sank as I realized my worst fears were coming true. I had to act fast. I rushed out of the building and jumped into my truck, speeding towards Ross's lodge.
I had to beg him, plead with him to help Richard. I couldn't let Richard face this alone.
