Chapter 34

Chapter 34 "Angela!"  My mom yells, jolting me awake from my much needed siesta. It's takes me five minutes and two more calls from my mother to make it downstairs. "Yes mother?" I say, trying to simultaneously rub the tiredness out of my eyes and the the headache from my head. " I need you to make a run to the grocery store." She says, tossing me what should be a list and some money, which I failed to catch. "You okay?" She asks while I pick up the fallen items. " Yes momma. " I say with a small smile and make my way to the door. Once outside, I take a deep breath and start my walk; the wind swaying wisps of hair around my face. The grocery store is barely a five minute trek from my home and it takes me ten minutes to get there and finish my shopping but there's a long line at the counter; save for that I would have been home by now. And I also wouldn't have spotted Leo on the other side of the street. Our eyes met and I raised my hand in a wave, which he completely ignored.
