Chapter 43
ASHER’S POV
I sat behind my desk, shuffling through piles of unattended paperwork. My brothers were hanging around and helping to sort out the documents with me. I ran a hand through my hair as I flung piles of paper away from my face.
“How long are we going to sit here and do this? I want to go train,” Blair groaned.
“You know we’ve been busy this past week, so the work has piled up. This is inevitable. Let’s just hurry up and get it over with,” Felix sighed without looking from the document he held in his hands.
I rubbed my aching temples as I picked up the cup of coffee beside me. As I took a sip of the bitter liquid, I resounding knock came on the office doors.
All our eyes snapped to the door and we shared a look before Roy spoke.
“You are free to come in.”
The door cracked open and a man in a black coat walked in. I immediately recognised him.
“Detective Salomon, I wasn’t expecting you hear from you so soon. I take it that you have what we asked of you?” I said, my hands clasped
