Amanda looked down at her phone to check the time and to see if she had received any text messages. It was almost time for the café to close, and Calvin should have been arriving to take her out. Her stomach was acting queasy, and it wasn’t because she was nervous and excited about the date. There was a message on her phone from Calvin. Calvin: Hey cutie, I’m running a bit late. But don’t worry I’ll be there just after closing. I’ll see you soon. Amanda sighed and put her phone back in her pocket. Amanda picked up a rag and started to wipe down the tables. When there were no customers in the café, Ruby walked over to her. “Alright, what’s wrong, sugar?” Ruby asked her with concern in her voice. “It’s nothing.
