82. ANGEL
He refused to let me leave.
Brian even allowed me to go to the entrance of the den so I could see that there was no way for me to get out of the den on my own. I was forced to wait and I hated every second of it.
My mates were hurting and there was nothing I could do about it.
I could feel Mason’s worry through our bond.
Being in the dark was something I hated. I wanted to know what was happening, I wanted to know if one of them got hurt.
“I made you lunch.”
I glanced at Brian.
“I’m not hungry.”
“You need to keep your strength up,” he growled.
Glaring at him, I took the plate he held out and resumed my pacing as I took small bites of the sandwich he made.
How much longer did they expect me to wait?
I only managed to eat half the sandwich because my stomach was already in knots. It felt like the walls were starting to close in on me.
At least pacing kept me warm.
It felt like the temperature was dropping the longer we were inside the den.
