"Liam," she whispered. At the same time, her eyes fell on Garrett, who looked away. She quickly looked away too, not failing to catch the glint of anger in his eyes. Nicole was confused. Her brain was befuddled. Liam caught her by her arm and pulled her into his body. Her wolf purred again, as she was enveloped in Liam's warmth. She could feel his presence drawing out her wolf from whatever corner it had been hiding. Her worries seemed to melt away in his arms. It was like falling in the clouds. She had missed it.
