Ignoring him, Nicole took another step forward. "Liam," she whispered again. Her chest was constricted from chaos, fear, and every other thing rambling in her head. For some reason, she wasn't afraid of either Liam or his wolf in a feral state. What she was mostly afraid of was the jealousy she scented in the air. She didn't know if it was from Garrett, Lilian, or Liam. It was intoxicating and powerful enough to drive each of them crazy. Liam looked at her, and venom dripped down his fangs. Nicole kept her eyes trained on Liam, knowing that if she dared to look at Garrett, he was as good as dead. She cared for him as a friend and nothing more.
