Chapter 1899

Caprice got into the car first. Then came John and Sherry. They entered the car from each side of the car so that they could have Caprice seated at the center, squished between her parents. She felt like had been transported to ages ago when she was just a child. She cast a strange look at them. John curled his lips into a gentle, doting smile. Sherry smiled tenderly and took her hand. Caprice was confused. Had she truly been away for so long? Were they beginning to miss her this much already? The ride back home took several hours. Caprice tended to get sleepy on lengthy car rides.
