Chapter 70: Was It Too Late to Make Amends?
The sky gradually darkened.
Sophia shifted and found an unfamiliar black sports jacket draped over her.
Blearily opening her eyes, she saw Benjamin in the driver's seat, clad only in a black short-sleeved shirt, his muscular arms tense and defined.
Realizing she had slept for quite a while, Sophia sat up straight and asked, "How long have I slept?"
Hearing Sophia's question, Benjamin shifted his attention from his phone to her and replied, "You're awake?"
He then turned off the heater, glanced at the time, and added, "Not long, just about two hours."
"..."
Wasn't that quite long?
Frowning slightly, Sophia handed the sports jacket back to Benjamin, her voice laced with a hint of complaint, "You should have woken me up."
Benjamin turned to her.
Her fair face flushed pink from just waking up. She rubbed her eyes and yawned, clearly not having had enough sleep.
