Daniel ended the call respectfully before reporting to Benjamin.
Before Daniel could properly organize his thoughts, Benjamin asked eagerly, "Did she refuse?"
Daniel shook his head. "She said she's driving to the airport now to pick Mrs. Mabel Taylor up."
A gleam of joy appeared in Benjamin's eyes as he rose from his leather office chair and straightened his deep blue suit. "Let's head to the airport."
Daniel, reading his mind, asked, "Are you also going to the airport to pick up Mrs. Mabel Taylor?"
Benjamin glanced at Daniel indifferently before answering as if it were a matter of course, "My grandmother seldom visits Pinecrest. Shouldn't I personally go to receive her?"
Daniel thought to himself that Benjamin would not have planned to go if he hadn't heard that Sophia was going to the airport.
"But you have two meetings this afternoon," Daniel reminded professionally.
"Postpone them to tomorrow," Benjamin commanded without hesitation.
