Back at Oakleaf Estates, Sophia kicked off her lambskin heels and walked barefoot towards the open kitchen bar. She opened the liquor cabinet and grabbed the strongest whiskey she could find. Without even bothering with a glass, she twisted off the cap and prepared to drink straight from the bottle. Benjamin, with his long strides, reached her side and snatched the bottle from her just before she took her first sip. "Honey, this isn't the way to drink whiskey." She drank the purest, strongest whiskey without ice. Was she trying to burn a hole in her stomach or intestines? "Give it to me!" Sophia reached out to grab the whiskey back. She needed the alcohol to calm the storm of anger, sorrow, and shame inside her. Crash. Benjamin shattered the expensive whiskey bottle without a second thought. Then he wrapped his arm around her slim waist, lifted her, and placed her safely on the bar counter. "You're crazy!" Sophia grabbed Benjamin's collar and took out her frustration on him.
