Chapter 175: This Crazy Preference Wasn't Given by Her Husband
When Benjamin reached the staircase, Sophia was standing on the stairs, expressionless, staring down at Harper, who had rolled down the steps.
Harper was covered in blood, with a gash on her forehead, and it was unclear whether she was unconscious or dead.
Benjamin froze for two seconds. Then he glanced at Sophia and took a good look at her from head to toe. Once he confirmed she was uninjured, he breathed a sigh of relief.
"What happened?"
Sophia smirked, her laughter both cruel and frenzied. "As you can see, I killed her!"
"Don't talk nonsense!" Benjamin frowned and spoke softly to stop her.
He knew very well that she couldn't have done this!
Sophia's smile faded, her gaze turning icy.
"Aren't you going to check on her?
"Harper was your first love. I thought you wanted to protect her."
Seeing Sophia's strange attitude, Benjamin realized she wasn't going to tell him the truth.
He took a step down the stairs, reached Harper's side, and leaned down to check for her breath.
