Margarita exited the room to speak with the doctor. Izaak remained in the room with Este. He leaned his elbows on his knees, clasped his hands, and stared at the floor. He was worried about Gabriella's reaction to his actions. She must’ve been questioning his sincerity again. He wasn't thinking clearly when he walked out of their house after she threatened to end their relationship.
