The awful dinner took Gabriella’s appetite away. She stood up and carried her plate and utensils to the sink.
Unexpectedly, warm arms wrapped around her waist from behind. Izaak’s chest was pressed against her back. He sniffed her neck and made a satisfied noise.
“You smell really nice,” he commented.
His breath tickled Gabriella, so she flinched.
“Stop coming here,” Gabriella brutally ruined Izaak’s romantic intention. “Do you think staying in your ex-wife’s home late at night is appropriate?”
Gabriella felt uncomfortable when Izaak gently rubbed her stomach with his hand while smelling her hair. “If you didn’t want me to come here, you shouldn’t have set our wedding anniversary as the passcode.”
Gabriella’s eyes circled. That was right. Their wedding anniversary most often was her password to anything that needed one. It was the most convenient code to remember. As she usually forgot her passcodes, she set one passcode for everything. And she still had that habit until now.
